In my work with Astromapping , I have developed another technique which I have found to prove very valuable - I call it 'The Marriage Map'.
Everyone recalls their exact marriage details and by converting this data into a map we can see what influences will be brought to bear on a couple in various cities. We can do this because symbolically the moment of commitment describes the birth of the marriage and can be looked at as a separate entity, with cycles and phases of its own.
Marriage maps are particularly useful when a time of birth is unknown for one of the couple and normal ACG methods cannot be utilized. If we wish to know more detail about how a person, or their marriage, might fare in a certain city though we have yet another tool at our disposal - one that allows us to ‘zoom in' and take a closer look. This is called the Local Space chart. This is what a Local Space Chart looks like.
Each line runs in both directions but is only identified on the computer generated wheel at one end. It is therefore necessary to extend the line. I have shown how this is done by extending the red Venus line in both directions in the example above. This should be done for all lines.
In the next image I have superimposed this Local Space chart over a map of the city of Los Angeles and centered it on the Beckham residence in San Ysidro Drive. We can see the planetary vector lines radiating from their house. Now we can use the chart as a type of astrological Feng Shui to discern the type of energies prevalent in certain roads and areas in their locality. Each of the coloured lines correspond to the celestial positions of the planets imprinted onto the Earth. These lines mark out locations where a vibrational interaction occurs between the Beckhams and the locality which will draw experiences of a particular quality towards them.
Armed with a map like this it may be possible for any married couple to get into a better alignment with the energies that they are naturally attuned to in a city, and optimise the quality of their experiences in that location. For example, on a very simplistic level, if opening a bank account, one might want to avoid choosing a branch under the Uranus lines, which can indicate fluctuating finances, and choose a branch on a Jupiter line, which would be more congenial and expansive.
The Beckhams' Jupiter line is shown by the blue line running north to south. In these locations they might be brought into contact with politicians, sports personalities or religious, philosophical and spiritual centres. Their lawyers or publishers may have offices or reside under these lines. People they meet who are born under sign of Sagittarius or Pisces may hail from here. These locations will bring optimism, growth, travel, abundance and favourable activities. The only downside is that they can incline to over indulgence.
On the map above you will see that I have pinpointed the LA Galaxy 'Home Depot' stadium where David was introduced to America on July 13th 2007. The stadium aligns with the green Saturn line. Saturn, as natural ruler of the 10th house, corresponds to the career and pinnacles of achievement. Saturn also denotes the places where David will really need to prove himself and can suggest austere circumstances or lonely conditions. Saturn lines describe locations where he will need to really knuckle down and put in effort. Responsibility and commitment will be required of them both along these lines and they mark places where they might have to come to terms with their limitations, physically, mentally and socially. However, it's a line where persistence, patience and self-discipline are rewarded with respect and achievement.
If Victoria and David are invited to a party under this line it is not likely to be the most fun filled, lavish event as Saturn brings overtones or economy, seriousness and duty. However it is a good line under which to receive an award.
Local Space lines, like ACG lines, can also work to bring people who could be described by the lines into our life, so if we trace the line back into the city, it may well be that an authority figure who will figure in the Beckhams' new life will have a home or office under this line. Insurance companies, museums, older people and possibly the established 'old wealth' of Los Angeles will be located close to these lines. Interestingly the line passes through Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Blvd area of Los Angeles.
I have also pinpointed the location of AEG. This is the entertainment conglomerate who own LA Galaxy. Their headquarters are on South Flower Street. As you can see the extended Beckham Pluto line (dark red line) runs to this location. Pluto is the planet which brings us into contact with great power (and power plays) great wealth and life changing, transformative opportunities and events. Pluto lines bring intense people (possibly Scorpio's) and sometimes even ruthlessness. David signed his contract on a Mars/Pluto conjunction. When you are dealing with companies of this size and influence you have to deliver, often one is not seen as a person but as a product. For Victoria, the wheelings and dealings of the same company - well intentioned or otherwise -could transform her career too. Both she and David are advised to tread carefully with people who live, or work, under these lines.
This next map shows the convergence of the Beckhams' Venus/Uranus/Neptune/Mercury and Node lines. They run down the length of West Sunset Boulevard to the beach in one direction and up to Glendale in the other. Some of their most memorable experiences in Los Angeles may occur just off Sunset but it is here that they should beware of any overly seducing influences which could affect their reputation.
In brief, here are what the lines (not already covered above) may indicate for the Beckhams. All the lines will bring conditions, people or places that correspond to the planetary signature. Influences will operate slightly either side of each line too.
This is the line where one's name comes to prominence. They describe locations where they will shine and have an abundance of confidence and enthusiasm. Advertising hoardings may be here or along the Mercury lines, literally putting their name up in lights. Friends may be Leo's or very 'showbizzy'. One feels 'warmed' in this location and it's where we bask in the sunshine and glow of attention.
This speaks of activities that will centre around children or childlike pursuits. The library, kid's school, favourite bookstores, places where they enter into communication contracts may be under these lines. Locations where they ride bikes, go roller-skating, skateboarding or purchase cars may be in these localities. Friends or people met may be Gemini's or Virgo. Casual staff, reporters, assistants or people they deal with often may emanate from these areas. It indicates fickle and changeable circumstances.
Venus lines will foster ‘Venusian' type experiences. Venus in mythology was the Goddess of love, beauty and fertility. Venus lines denote areas where we enjoy being, where we meet new loves (friends or romances). They indicate luxurious, prosperous surroundings, favourite restaurants and anything that enhances beauty. Venus lines will generally point to things such as people, art galleries and entertainment locations that we will delight in. All these things will apply to the Beckhams under the red Venus lines which radiate NE to SW on their chart.
These lines can bring challenging situations, aggressive, combative and competitive people. If I was introduced to someone and had an instinct that I should give them a wide berth, I could look to my Local Space map to see where we met or where that person's home is. If they reside under my Mars line, this would reinforce my gut feeling that this person may require a lot of my energy. On the hand, if I was looking for a running partner or someone to cut my lawn, if they live under one of my Mars lines I know I have found exactly the right person! My colleague Martin Davis points out that as Mars is impulsive it may not be the best location to keep the Colt 45! For the Beckham's this would be in the North or South areas of the home.
The Beckhams can expect the unexpected, the bizarre and the exciting here. These lines bring unusual as well as visionary people. Rebellious energy, astrologers, groups committed to social and political change will be met under these lines. Uranus is the known as the Maverick but also as the Intruder, so they should make sure security is beefed up around the East to SE and North to NW perimeters of their house.
These lines often depict the movie theatre or studio, video and music store, charitable concerns, photographers, poetry and ideal, fantasy-like situations. They also bring deceit, self – deception, drugs, alcohol and a lack of realism and false friends. A clear head is needed around Neptune lines, as is a clear sense of identity. Their Plastic Surgeon is likely to reside of have offices here or on the Mars/Neptune midpoint lines! Swimming pools, pharmacies and aromatherapists are usually found on these lines.
These lines often mark out areas that bring fated events, dates with destiny, karmic links and that feeling of deja vu.
Finally, one line I haven't yet mentioned is the yellow Moon line. In the next image you can see that the Beckham's Moon line runs straight down Montana Avenue, arguably one of the best streets for shopping and beauty treatments. The Moon line continues down to the beach. Moon lines often describe places or people which provide us with emotional sustenance. Some of the Beckham's favourite family haunts, food shops and restaurants may lie in this road and on the nearby PCH and Santa Monica surroundings. It will possibly mark out a British pub or expat area and remind them of home.
