Ostensibly there is little difference between the concept of Life Coaching and Vision Coaching but the latter employs a slightly more metaphysical approach to help people get motivated, bring order to their life and achieve personal goals. Visioning is simply another name for the process of Manifesting, Cosmic Ordering or using the Law of Attraction
From the logical perspective it is clear that with a positive self-image and a plan of action, methodically working towards your goal can bring it to pass. However, there also appear to be invisible forces at work which defy rational explanation and current paradigms that can assist in hastening the process along. Underpinning the metaphysical Law of Attraction is the area of scientific knowledge known as Quantum Mechanics. Quantum theory tells us that the act of observing something can alter the outcome. It also informs us that everything is vibrating at the quantum level. String, or M theory, postulates that the Universe is multi-dimensional and we live in a web, or matrix, of interconnecting activity. It is even within the realms of possibility that we exist on a non-linear timeline, and that all possible past and future events occur simultaneously in the present moment.

In order to pull our vision towards us it is imperative that there is clarity about what it is we wish to manifest. Engaging all of our senses in the process; especially the sense of sight, appears to significantly speed up the results. On my Cosmic Ordering blog I have written about many of the techniques which I know work. One of these is the use of Vision Boards. These boards allow you to visually imprint images into your brain of the outcome you desire. Once your vision is crystallised in this way, you are able to focus your energy with laser like precision on what you intend to create in your life and magnetically draw it to you.
In my experience, and consistent with ancient doctrines, if the desires are visualised and used in conjunction with other techniques such as affirmations and planetary correspondences in the form of numbers, gems, colour, sound etc, the creation process becomes turbo charged with energy.

Vision Boards can easily be put together. Simply find a large piece of card or buy a cork board and stick, or pin, images of yourself alongside whatever you would like to see appear in your life. If you have always hankered after a specific type of house, maybe a beach house, a Victorian villa or a mansion in the country, seek out pictures that most exactly match the type of house you have in mind. If you would like a certain type of car, find images of the exact model, colour, engine size etc and place those on your board.
Perhaps the result you are after is in the area of your career. If you know the name of a specific company you would like to work for, collect and paste images of their logo or their office building. Mock up pictures of a nameplate with your job title and stick it on images of a desk or door. Put an image of your face at a boardroom table or on TV Screen. The idea is to make the images match the reality you are seeking as closely as possible. Look at your board (or boards if you want to split them into lifestyle areas) at least twice a day and try and mentally step into the picture. See yourself there, in that car, house, office, relationship until it becomes difficult to believe that you haven’t already got these things in your life. Then trust. It may take days, weeks or months for the Universe to rearrange itself to bring about your desire but, as long as it does not impact on anyone else and you have unswerving belief that a) it will come and b) you deserve it to come, I guarantee you will get magical results.
One word of warning about Vision boards, some people compile them with an agenda that can only be termed as materialistic greed. There is nothing wrong with having a fabulous car, home or lifestyle; you were born into an abundant world. However when one starts equating possessions with self worth, the whole essence of manifesting is lost. The ability to manifest is a by-product of knowing you are always connected to a source of energy that courses through us all and every inanimate object. You need to become vibrationally aligned to your desires. Set about aiming for a happy and fulfilled lifestyle, one in which you feel spiritually wealthy and are doing what you love, and the material possessions will naturally follow.
Another way to incorporate a vision into your day to day awareness is to create Vision Boards on your computer. I have one on my computer and I love it. I can access it as a program but, as it is advantageous to constantly imprint your vision on your mind, I set mine up as my screen saver. The Vision Board that I use costs 60 dollars (around 30 UK Pounds) but cheaper versions are available. The software is instantly downloadable and very simple to use. On the premium version you can even add your choice of music or record your own voice to add spoken affirmations to your Vision Board!
If you are short of time, or need help to compile your first board, these Vision Boards come with a vast array of images so that you can personalize them with the minimum of fuss. Alternatively, you can find pictures on the internet and save them to your images file, or you can scan pictures in or download them from your camera or phone.
There are a few Vision Board companies around. I use an Orangepeel Vision Board which can also be customised with your own fonts, background and colours. Affirmations and power words can also be selected or you can add your own text. Best of all, if you don’t have a lap-top you can still carry them with you constantly as they can be printed out or linked to your PDA/mobile.
